Factory Refurbished and Used Equipment

Refurbished or used wire bonders, die bonders, wedge bonders and automated component placement systems and parts can be economical alternatives for many customers. Palomar’s factory refurbished wire bonders and die bonders undergo a high-quality restoration. They are completely burned in and tested to the same exacting standards that we apply to our new equipment. Refurbished wire bonders and die bonder equipment is fully warranted and can be supported by our extended factory service contract offerings.

Third Party Owners

If a customer chooses to shop for or purchases used Palomar equipment from a third party, that equipment may or may not be supportable by Palomar. It must be evaluated by qualified Palomar personnel to determine if it is supportable as is, able to be upgraded, or may not be supported at all.

The evaluation is available for a nonrefundable, prepaid fee of $5,000 (plus actual airfare to the place of inspection). The customer is responsible for ensuring that appropriate required facilities are available at the inspection site. Any repairs and any software license transfer that are identified during the inspection in order to make the system supportable by Palomar will be charged at domestic Field Service Rates and retail prices. A software license transfer fee may apply. A 10% discount on all parts will be applied if Palomar makes repairs in preparation for the bonder’s acceptance into a factory service contract.
