Today’s customers need a complete solution to their packaging and assembly needs, including a manufacturable process—a Component Placement Work Cell (CPWC) is an ideal solution. Equipment flexibility and multi-purposing are important advantages in today’s environment of doing more with less. Palomar offers two types of Component Placement Work Cells:
- The Model 3500-III—offers the height of flexibility for microelectronics assembly
- The Model 6500—offers ultra high precision for component assembly

Applications
The Model 3500-III offers accurate component placement and automatic die attach; the Model 6500 offers micron-level placement accuracy. Together, they encompass a wide range of application capabilities including:
- Micro-Electrical-Mechanical components (MEMs)
- RF packages/high frequency RF modules
- Laser diodes
- Fine pitch SMT/ultra-fine pitch hybrids
