Palomar currently has a career opportunity for a MECHANICAL ENGINEER

The chosen candidate will be responsible for developing electro-mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies using Pro-E as a member of Palomar’s Engineering Department delivering custom automation equipment. Duties will include participation on teams, as well as working independently, to provide mechanical engineering expertise in design and development of electro-mechanical concepts, packaging, design for manufacturability, documentation and verification of electro-mechanical assemblies.

Knowledge Desired:
- Ability to read Electrical & Pneumatic Schematics
- Design using Pro-E for solid models, large assembly management and developing assembly procedures using Pro-Process.
- Design and selection of mechanical machine elements: bearings, materials, finishes, couplings, and pneumatics.
- Knowledge of good practices in documentation and drawing layout as per ANSI Y 14.5M
- Knowledge of tolerance analysis
